When Insurance Companies get it Wrong

Guys. I am not having a go at my Insurance Company (Tuffstuff) here. Let me put it out there from the start.
You remember Rival? Tuffstuff use to market the product
Remember Cartrack? Tuffstuff made most Toyota owners fit one. I had to fit one on my first FJ when I bought it. I remember Tuffstuff having some sort of a deal.
Anyway. I bought my second FJ and immediately phone Tuffstuff to have it insured. The lady on the other side asked me if I wanted a Cartrack fitted. She didn't tell me it was compulsory like with my previous FJ. I told her that I didn't want it fitted. You could literally hear the sigh of relief from her side and we moved on.
Almost 17 months ago my first FJ was sold. This morning I receive an email stating I need to pay then R1000 cancellation fee for the Cartrack in the first FJ. The invoice date is for the 22nd of August 2018. Surely they can't do this?? I will certainly also contact Tuffstuff regarding this
So. I believe Tuffstuff got it wrong with both Rival and Cartrack. Maybe they learnt their lessons and will do what they are good at, which is an excellent Insurance Product

Mike I’d suggest you chat directly to Raymond. He fixes any issues quickly & fairly. It’s worth being with TS.
Can’t blame them for putting trackers into Toyota’s though. Manny once went to a braai where 10 Hiluxes went missing.

No, it was Herman Engel who went to the Braai & it was 20 Hiluxes that were stolen.
So I am assuming that there were over 100 vehicles at the Braai...

You don't need a Tracker in a Landi.
If it gets stolen you know it will still be in the vicinity for the next few hours...

Contacted Tuffstuff regarding this matter.
They paid Cartrack the R1000.
Brilliant from them.
Like I said. Tuffstuff is good, but they obviously realized that they backed the wrong horse with Cartrack

Landies have tracking devices built in by the manufacturer - the rest of us call it oil slicks .............................
