Impractical, defeats the whole objective of the Jimny, as Bugger says in the end it will a serious engine upgrade, I doubt if even an 1800 will be enough. Extremely expensive modification.

Rumour has it that the next Jimny, due out in 3 to 5 years, will be an EV only.
I somehow doubt that....

Apparently the EV Jimny will also be shockingly capable...

A small/compact offroader with more packing space and capable of towing a trailer is what I need. A vehicle of this size would be perfect (just need more power).

Or see what the new Toyota FJ will be like.

How to say "I need a 70 series Cruiser" without typing the word Cruiser.... :D

Here you go, peasants
The Suzuki Super Carry is available as a four-wheel drive (4WD) model with a five-speed manual transmission. It has a 1.2 liter engine, a 750 kg payload capacity, and a wide load box.
58kW of tar shredding power & a whopping 101Nm axle twisting torque...

I own a Colt 2.8 Bakkie.
I'd rather listen to Panyaza Lootfreely's mindlessly stupid nonsensical empty promises than ever own another Colt...

They should have gone all in and made it a 6x6. What's another drive axle for the all conquering 1.5L engine

Problem with just adding a tag axle like this is it just takes traction off the driven rear axle. Even something as silly as a speedbump will reduce traction
