You see a 4x4 with certain accessories.

When I see recovery tracks on a 4x4 I thought poor soul knows zero about sand driving.

If it is black and it is clean it is a Sandton pavement Parker

If it’s a Fortuner on Gravel Roads, I salute their courage.

I bought some to do carnage canyon, then never used them. I've never needed to use them in nearly 30 years of driving off-road.
This last time we went to Carnage, Armand brought along some steel scaffold planks, which were used extensively. Dylan's favourite toy, once he figured out the best way to use them, it became a hammer - everything was a nail.

Nope. Saw a Hilux this morning covered with bright orange ones.

Spiros did well in the sand. He can chuck those.

Defenders, the old ones. Seeing a well kitted Defender always make me think about adventure. Sometimes nice to talk to the usually grey haired owners.

Those tracks make for excellent cricket stumps for beach cricket... If you bury the one end 40cm deep you have regulation height cricket wickets.

What do I think when I see one of these on a vehicle?... Not much.

But I know the owner of the sticker doesn't think at all....

Yes, those Grey haired owners are often in thier 30's & 40's - it's stressful owning a Defender...

A solid proper 4x4 with bumpers, winches, lifted, everything one could want on a vehicle, but then stands in a mall parking lot without ANY bushrash, scratches etc... Worst of all, all that money spent, and then with standard sidesteps and no underbody protection, the very first thing you do.

So horses for courses, if you use your 4x4 for overlanding, no mods needed, but adding every mod available on the market and not using it. Utter waste of money.
