If it still a kuier fire then anyone throwing a tissue, paper plate, baby, plastic, bones etc into the fire should be summarily shot.
I said sorry, geez

On topic, I am not a fan of anything going into a communal fire apart from wood or paper.
Rinse and try dry the stuff before throwing away too in your take home bag otherwise you bring home that rubbish bag soup with you.

… the long surviving, hardly biodegradable SMALL stuff is
a component of rubbish often left behind at camps & Braai sites etc …
esp Stompies, BottleTops &,for some reason, Cable Ties etc
It would be great if folk took more effort not to leave it
to accumulate and degrade the natural areas we visit.

Yes, Christo.

But you drive a Cruiser.

I should probably speak to you about a vehicle you won't call "the rubbish"... :)

 Got me Ian.

I use the Cruiser to drive out the rubbish. By the way I hate the smell of burning plastic.

Ehen I did the Namib trip in 2011 I made special provision to hook cattle feed bags on the outside of the rails.

Nothing like camping in the bush and then all of the sudden a whiff comes through reminding you of driving past Diepsloot or Tembisa...

Only wood goes on the fire. Unless you make use of a certain tour operator then there is nothing to put on the fire
