I was one of the lucky ones who received my Cover Worx seat covers before they up and ducked. They work, but the quality isn't great, and the stitching on the armrest of the driver's seat started showing signs of wear very quickly. These were on my previous bus, and are currently stuffed in the bottom of a cupboard at home, as it was sold, and before I could pass them on to the buyer, sold again. Anyone want a set of seat covers for a VW Kombi?

Melville and Moon are nice, but at a price. If I had to buy again I'd look at Takla or Escape Gear.

The Beesdam covers may be tough and functional, but are hellova ugly, in my opinion. If they had a version without the leather inserts, or with the leather the same colour as the covers, I'd consider them.

Yes, form over function I'm afraid.

My bus has covers fitted by the original owner, which were made for him by the guys that do the seat cover for Bell equipment - very nice and hardwearing, as one would expect, but now made of unobtainium.
Beesdam has the plain option as well, bought the pain covers last week for the Mahindra. I prefer the "ugly" :) ones with the leather sides, since they don't wear like the material only.
Takla is also very nice, can be washed without crimping.

Beesdam has 4 options, a bit confusing, base one has no leather and the others, with leather, have options of differing material.
I'll probably ask for a price on the cheapest option with leather....

Beesdam does not appear to cater for us folk with no style, but great taste in terms of vehicles - ie: us Patrol folk. So I shall stick with my Escape Gear....

I did find them to be a bit more expensive than the rest.
They are 1 block away from my office - I can pop over and ask for sample and send pictures and pricing if you want.

I have Beesdam in both my DC's.

I actually like the leather.

You have a little bit of maintenance as the leather needs to be treated with a leather cream every now and then.

But a good product all round .

They are sometimes just a bit slow in making them though.

Thank you to all respondents.
Appreciated...

Ian, they probably don't bother selling to people who can't afford decent vehicles.

Believe it or not, there are now 12 Seat Cover manufacturers on the list in post #1..

Caprivi is also very nice, really good quality, little more expensive for the nicer look. Also I like their colours better.

Just as a matter of interest, have you looked at pricing, to re-upholster the original seats. When I had my Nissan Hardbody, the seats needed re-covering, so I went the route of re-doing the seats themselves. This had two advantages, First was that I did not need to worry about the air-bag pockets, the re-adjustment of the seatcovers, removing them for a proper clean etc. And the second and possibly best outcome was that they built up the sides of the seat again(the sponge) to ensure a comfy ride again, and because you being the longest bloke I know, am sure that the side of the seat (RHS) is most definitely not as sharp as it was at the beginning.

If you look at the route, for example, of putting a steering wheel cover on vs re-doing the steering wheel, I found that re-doing the steering wheel was about 20% more money, but then looked factory again. My 2c worth...

Hallo Peet

May I ask who you used to have the seats and steering wheel redone? Need my Pajero driver seat redone a bit.

Hi Jotto

It was a few years back and I had it done in Rustenburg (the seats).

The steering wheel was done by Leatherboyz in Centurion-087 701 1241 not long ago. Great service, dropped the vehicles in the morning, got it back the same day. https://leatherboyz.co.za/

Right, I found out that Gani's 4x4 Seats (Escape Gear) also carry many other brands.
I also found out about a new company called TOUGHER which I'll add tp the list in post #1
I mailed Gani's for pricing:

Note: This is ONLY for the two front seats of Fearless (2010 Fortuner)...

Beesdam Legacy Premium (leather bolsters)
R11 000.00
They can get stuffed!

Beesdam Delux (no leather)
R4 300.00

Escape Gear
R4 253.50

Tougher
R3 752.00
