Just got back from a resort camp trip and wow 2x kiddies is exhausting while camping. Feel like I need a holiday from our holiday.

But I really want to try west coast later this year. Drive past @Jors, hit Port Nolloth, maybe a bit of Langebaan and drive down to the ex-Rental units in CT area. Both kids should be at least walking by then so we can all experience it for the first time.

Then up through Karoo and do some farm stays. There is a lekker farmer I want to visit again if he is still there near Fraserburg.

Still have a few items left from the 2023 list, however heading over to Moreton Island on Sunday for a week. They had around 200mm of rain in the last week so the inland tracks are looking rough and a lot of creeks are spilling over. Will need to get the diff breathers sorted out

Then another trip to The Springs 4x4 Park in March, camping on Bribie Island in Feb and most likely June.

Need to make a decision on an awning for the Fortuner. Still not sure which route to go.

The laaitie has taken a huge interest in angling. Being 8 years old that means I have also taken up angling as a hobby. So no real plan here but to get to some new and interesting fishing spots along the South East Queensland Coast.

I am busy finishing our prototype square drop trailer, to be ready for its maiden 3 week trip starting 1 March. Starting at Croc bridge KNP, all the way up to Pafuri, then Nthakeni, Mapungubwe, Blouberg and finally Marakele. Lots of work to be done before then!

How about some photos in a thread about the build in the technical section. It's always nice to see other people projects.

Aiming for 1 weekend away every month, wishing 2-3 hours of home.

Also we have booked a trek with the Gorillas in Rwanda in June. Failing that we'll go visit Manny... basically same thing.

1. Just back from the West Coast so the first trip for the year done.
2. Got something planned along the lines of the Cederberg.
3. Richtersveld on the list sometime later this year
4. Maybe a Namib dune trip in September.

Just got back from Moreton Island yesterday. Amazing trip will post some pics later.

Managed to tear my calf muscle loading the roof rack. Scans down waiting for discharge papers.
