1. Do you have a winch? Yes. Warn 9000lbs, dynema rope.
2. If not, would you ever fit one?
3. If you do have a winch, how many times per year have you used it & to help whom (yourself or others)? used about 20 - 30 times a year to recover myself and others. Probably 50% myself and 50% others

now,this is 2500lb winch.
hopefully there is enough photos from all angles to give full picture of situation.
whole of mass of pikup was resting on transfer case skid plate.
no wheel contact with ground.
first pull was made backwards to direct pikup away from a ditch on front right side.
winch was then relocated at front bumper for final pull(for some reason it fail to make any photo or video, sorry for that )
same winch made pull of same pikup up the 20 degree incline over 4 meters in length....
....it could pull further but incline was over..

Joe, can you give me more info on the winch you used here and how you mounted it.
Thanks.
Paul.

That looks suspiciously like a MacAfric 2500 from Adendorffs.

I had to use my winch over the weekend. Didn't have a choice.
My 3 year old asked me what it was and when I told him he demanded to see if it was better than the winch Chase has from Paw Patrol. So I unwound it and let him play.

above is correct.macafric 2500 and wireless remote as extra .
winch comes with 4mm base plate and this is replaced with 20mm aluminum plate(6082) that is little oversized.
this oversize allows winch to be bolted or attached using soft shackle to a front hitch receiver ,
plate above tow ball(rear) any recovery point, rock sliders....
all of this allows winch to swivel and pull in a straight line no matter where anchor point is(left or right,up or down )in orientation to a car.
to a certain degree

Does this count? Didnt have close enough trees for the hammocks
But, while messing around I noticed the hooks clevis safety pin was gone AWOL, so probably a good thing I spooled it out.

Tons of respect for a Warn. I opened mine and serviced, after 12yrs of heavy service.
Fitted a cordless remote and that is a total winner.
Do I use mine often, yes very. Used it again, 2 days ago, to load in Moremi.
