Yip the Trojan war was part of the Odyssey, a Poem 'written' by Homer about Odysseus.
Odysseus is his Greek name, in Latin & English we call him Ulysses.
Interesting that Homer wrote the poem about 400 years after the events were supposed to have taken place.
Also interesting - Homer was blind.
Helen, the wife stolen by Paris & taken to Troy, the event that started the war, was a Spartan.

The Trojan horse story gave rise to the saying "Be careful of Greeks bearing gifts"...
Yep and even more interesting my mother’s side came from Sparta - aaahu!

The 4motion bus doesn't have a name yet, currently referred to as where the @#£&* did the coolant go?

The Disco is just Jono's car, also known as how the hell do you need diesel again!

We've always been very creative in giving names for our cars...

Currently:
Toyota Fortuner we call → The Fortuner
Toyota Camry we call → The Camry

Previous:
Toyota Hilux we called → The Hilux
Mazda CX-5 we called → The Mazda
Kia Cerato we called → The Kia
Isuzu KB we called → The Isuzu
Opèl Corsa → The Opèl
Land Rover Discovery TDV6 → The giant piece of shit

Off topic, but went past a 4x4 scrapyard yesterday near Mamelodi and there must have been 20 D3 bodies lying there.

I chose "Ricoffy" to prove a point to coffee snobs - contrary to popular belief, I don't drink Ricoffy.

The 4e part was added later for good measure because I posted a thread on how I fixed a rusted luggage trailer and Manny deemed the whole endeavour akin to that of replacing the axle on a wheelbarrow.

The Ford I call the Ford.

The Mahindra I call the Mahindra.

My wife I call "vrou" and my boys I call "seun" - usually the closest one knows by now to answer.

I call Manny "doos" too.
