The travels of Charline Ribotta

#1

Post by Rechardt »

Does anyone else follow the overland travels of Charline Ribotta?--- Facebook blog
I have been following it since she started out over a year ago from France to Africa.
I'm particularly perturbed by her traumatic experiences she had in Namibia.

I'm hoping Namibia is not turning into another South Africa.

I'm confused: Namibia is in Africa, right? And these practices are common throughout Africa, right? So why the dismay?

Such a pity. 5 weeks in Nam in 2018 and we only have praise for the place. Many tourists flying solo then.

If I am honest, I find the fact that she encountered 3 issues in Nam, a bit of a stretch. Something does not compute.

So she had a very bad incident on Sunday 15 January.
Another one barely a week.later on 23 January.
Then on 24 January, a day after incident 2 took.place, she suffered a 3rd incident.

The 1st on was between Otavi and Otjiwarongo.
The 2nd was at Tiger Reef camp site.
The 3rd in a Parking lot in Walvis.

For security reasons she will only give more details once she is safely out of Nam?

On her FB page she does give more details of the theft and bribery incident, but does not say anything about the assault by the two policemen.

Then it looks like she is in Atlantis Dunes.

Then within a few days she is in Malawi.

Her posts are not daily and thus confusing how she gets around so quickly. Or not.
