Who is Camping this Weekend

#1

Post by iandvl »

Twas a thread I actually enjoyed once upon a time on some other forum. So I felt I'd create a similar one here.

This weekend, a bunch of us are off to Klipspringerkloof Bush Lodge. Since there will be at least one of the kids coming with, we'll be towing the XT65.

At the moment, the weather does not look promising. But a wet weekend camping is still better than being stuck in the city. :)

The thread is a week too old
We camped at Jongensfontein near Stillbaai last week.
Was windy but was good!

Wind is way better than rubbish piled up all over, shortage of water, living behind 2 metre walls with a gun under your pillow, paying R500+ per month to a security company, wrong municipality accounts every month.......

Need I carry on?

I choose wind thank you.

Well, not this coming weekend. But shall be heading out to Moegatle on the weekend of the 24th. It will probably just be the LF and I, so I doubt we will be towing and will probably just do the RTT thing...

That is, of course, if I get my truck back one day. There seem to have been some delays with the refurbishment of my rear-bar by Summit. :(

Hope I get the truck back soon. It sucks Ubering all over the place and I am so looking forward to Moegatle...

We will be joining the kids camping at Kruger Ranch, this is both camping and a 4x4 weekend. They joined a caravan club, and they live their motto, the club camps at least once a month.

I have had a long connection with Siltbaai dating back to 1992.
And yes, it can be quite windy.
