So if we get a lot of credits, what can we buy? Or are these just points in a game where the points don't matter?
Jake's you get the two things you desire the most:

Yesterday I joined a national Hangkook EPR 4x4, this was my 99th event, what an eye opener. Not at strict as Bridgestone, but a lot of raw fun. Without a navvy, against a Jeep, Suzuki Vitara and a lot of experience, I managed 4th.
But i achieved what I set as target, getting out, and having fun. The Jimny went in for some cosmetic facelift, so I had no choice but to take the Tuna, what an awesome car.

IM not Going to include 4x4 tracks from resorts not focused around 4x4 like "THe voet pad kloof, badplaas and such..."
been Camping since a Child all over so not even goning to poke my wallnut sized brain to even remember all the long wweeknds and such in the last 10 years

Well Thats It, would love more Gauteng trails but doing 300+km to trails and back every time from the platte land in The old Rattle Trap has made the list rather dull.

But keen on getting out more! And some times the YouTube channel thing isn't always Vehicle or Offroad focused... ( like camping out in an abandoned resort in the next few weeks... )

Counting and keeping tally of dates, and proof of your trips is like keeping fuel slips...

Anal. 8-)

I just go because I like it, not because I want to prove something.

But I get the reasoning behind the incentive scheme, and the bragging rights, and how it might motivate.

I am just not the kind of person, who will ever have a file on my trips or a tally record

I don't keep tally of trails etc but I know what trails I've done. I cannot for the life of me remember when I did what. Since a bunch of them were done with groups (4x4com, 4x4ag, patrol4x4, NOROC) I'm pretty sure I could get dates from e-mail and forum posts. But I really could not be bothered to go to that effort.

Since 2018, I started documenting my more interesting trips in the form of trip reports, which makes it easy for me to keep dates, routes and similar. It's also a source of information for other people. I've often had feedback from people on various forums (including the one I am banned from) asking for specific details on some of the trips I've done. I also like re-reading them occasionally. Well, more accurately, I re-read them so that I can look at the pretty pictures and wish I was in the desert and not stuck behind a desk in a cube farm as I am most days. I speak under correction, but that is also normally the practice with various trips arranged elsewhere - including a recent one at Marakele ? This would sort of classify as keeping tally of dates and providing proof ? But perhaps that is just my opinion.

Shorter trips as well as arb ones (for example, a bunch of trips to Moz / Bots etc) I've never bothered reporting on. I've posted photos or started threads occasionally before - such as where I lost a tyre on the dirt road between Derdepoort and Dwaalboom on the way back from Bots - but that has normally been when something specifically interesting happened.

Anyways, each to their own.

I agree with Andrew and Ian that drawing up the list, initially, is a schlepp.

But once you start it's easy.

Andrew and Ian could both produce pretty impressive lists, but, for both of you, the UTM initiative is not a motivator - your love for the outdoors is motivation enough.

But please, draw up your lists, if not for yourselves, then to encourage others....

The first part of your post was good Manny.
Then you stuffed it up with the last paragraph.
