My Brand new Second hand trailer came with a 90L Fridge single compartment

When I opened it it smell like the ocean is jumping out at you

The dealership mentioned they tried onions but it is still Smelling

I do not think they put alot of effort in

But anyhow

What do you guys suggest I use to get rid of the smell

I have a recipe for a concoction I used somewhere after a trip to Moz and being misguided enough to store fresh prawns in the fridge. We ate them the next day, but the package they were in leaked and it was a day or two before we realised this. It was rather rough. Something like baking soda and vinegar, but cannot remember exactly and I will need to dig through my files. I will get back to you.

Wash fridge with strong vinegar solution pay special attention to sealing rubbers. Rinse well. Spread a whole box baking soda on a plate and leave in the fridge for a few days with lid closed. If the fridge has baskets wash well with Sunlight.

Thereafter, never switch your fridge off and close the lid. Always leave a gap in the lid to let fresh air in when fridge is off.

Try this, it will work:
Clean it with a Milton mix,
Then leave it open for 2 days.
Then wipe it with a clean cloth.
Then place a piece of coal on a piece op paper towel in the centre of the fridge.
Leave for 2 days.
Remove the coal and leave it open for a further day.
Then throw the fridge away and buy a new one...

I've used the same process as Andreas with a deepfreeze that was left turned off with meat in it for a week. Not a lekker job especially at first but it worked and we still use the deepfreeze.

I found my recipe thing.

1: Wash fridge thoroughly with a mixture of baking soda and water.
2: Let the fridge "soak" in this solution for about 30 minutes. Keep the sides of the fridge wet with the solution during this time. ie: regularly swirl the solution up the sides of the fridge.
3: Drain the solution.
4: Whilst the fridge is still wet from the baking soda / water, sponge down the interior of the fridge with vinegar. You will notice that the remaining solution is going to foam. This is the reaction between the acidic vinegar and the alkaline baking soda. It's this reaction that helps get the surfaces clean.
6: Put in one or two sliced lemons inside the fridge. Leave them in the fridge for about 48 hours.
7: Wash out the fridge. It should be good to go.

Worked for me. I hope this helps you.
