Some clarification please?

Events as in competitions?
Events as in trips?
Events such as get togethers?

Club, Private, or group?

Andrew, yes...
Events of interest to the Off Road User/4x4'er/Overlander/Off Road Camper.

Obviously not your personal day out with mates.

I suspect 90% of events posted will be open events where more participation is required.

For each event in the sticky, can we not also include
- a link for further info
- who the organizing club / forum is
- whether closed or open

Some events work better if not too large (even if open)
E.g. the more "hardebaard" stuff works better with say 5 vehicles rather than 20.
It should be perfectly acceptable to whoever organizes something to state whether it is fully subscribed or not.
Alex - I was considering this. One of the issues here is that this is the information that was posted. Apart from the 3Provinces night drive (for which there is a thread here) I've got no idea of the broader details. I'll see if I can track down organisers and things. But this is not always going to be possible. Should people ping me with events they would like added to that, it would be nice if they could include some of these details.

As such, perhaps when people request updated they can include the following info ?

1: Dates
2: Name
3: Venue
4: Indicate whether it is an open/closed event
5: Organiser & Contact Details
6: Any web links which may be pertinent

Yip, we can only post the info supplied.
Ain't nobody got time to go look for info.

I've done a bit more digging and updated the Global Events thingymabob. Perhaps this makes more sense. I'll add missing event details if I find them.

I've created a sticky under the Events Calendar section.

Link to it is here: viewtopic.php?f=45&t=1561

If there are things missing from that list, please let me know.

Yes … very much agree … as I have already advised …

Event Details as supplied by convening clubs etc need to be posted to our Calendar thread and the ‘ Calendar Listing’ Ian has set up should reference a link (‘Viewtopic… ‘ etc ) to such posting to the thread.

… that said and included should result in a good set-up.
