A 15-year-old boy has died following a Jeep rollover on the Maanhaarand dirt road outside Rustenburg in the North West Province late yesterday afternoon. A man believed to be in his late 30s suffered minor injuries in the incident.

ER24 paramedics were on the scene at 17:35 where family members were in attendance. Attempts were made to resuscitate the boy using Advanced Life Support interventions, unfortunately these were unsuccessful and the patient was later declared dead on the scene. The patient in his 30s, who had suffered minor injuries, was treated and transported to hospital for further care.

The scene was handed over to the South African Police Services.

Very sad incident.

Must just say that the road is in a bad state of disrepair and has deteriorated a lot over the last year. Doubt many platkarre are driving it now.

Very sad to hear !!

Really sad.I drove pass on Friday afternoon and is badly deteriorated.Worse sections do have bypass. I'm not sure who made those.
Jeep it looks has rolled on road leading into the pass.
