im not in a mood to start new thread,so ill continue on this one.
as promised earlier i went on a trail to get stuck again.
drag marks(made by front suspension and bash plates) can be seen as pikup was sitting on a belly with all wheels rotating freely.
top photo light brown drag mark is bash plate dragging last bit that is uphill 50cm.
middle half round mark was made with rear diff dragging.
overall recovery distance was 10 meters.

no electrically powered device was used
no other vehicle to pull
no shoveling or any digging took place
no sand tracks or any object inserted under tires
hand brake was on at one point if that counts for anything.
to recover backwards it would be easy and that was not a point.
closest tree in front was about 60m away.

one man power over 1 hour to get it out
work 5 min rest 5 min.(approximately)
and i survived.

i went there to get stuck on purpose and to see how to self recover on my own and on simplest way possible without power tools.
not even one from post#12 has been used

235/85/16 are fitted and anything bigger will require body lift.
while bakkie was sitting on its belly i measured depth of track and i would need tires larger by about 130mm in radius.
taking that in consideration and looking at middle photo to scale mahindra and track i would guess that,
before me, some pimped jeep did some spinning in there.

once recovery started and i saw diff drag mark i thought :
i wish jake is here with angle grinder to cut diffs bottom half and reduce drag.

joke aside ,i went there,i did what i intend to do and all went easier then i was hopping for.
im happy as i can be regarding how everything worked out.

Thanks Joe
Its currently on 3000km and at Mahindra for a week and a day for a rear diff replacement.
Bud luck I guess.
Please tell what you did with the recovery. How did you get it out?

The ONLY way create more clearance is to have a bigger diameter tyre. 235/85-16 is only 31.7 inches.

A body lift will cost peanuts using lift spacers. But I suspect that once again, you're not willing to discuss matters.......

we can discuss matter to no end.problem is i can not justify doing lift and 37" tires to drive trail once a month.
as is,day to day, mahindra is good for me.if i get stuck once a month so be it,ill get my self out.
