Off the beaten track - North of Lesotho

Good Morning All ,

So i need some advice , Im trying to plan a 2 day trip from Jhb to Kzn and want as much dirt and passes as i can get .

I have found this route and a few like it that run along the Lesotho border on the SA side and was wondering if anyone has traveled along here and have any gpx files or info on this ?

2018 I lead the 10 passes trip in and around Lesotho, read it and talk to me , will gladly guide you.

That tour was very enjoyably. I've always wanted to go back to the War Trail area for some more exploring.

Bezuidenhouts pass is also a very low traffic pass
Very nice drive
I drove it 2018 when we came back from a aircooled trip up Sani Pass...

Two issues back of the Drive Out magazine there is an article of some guys who travelled as close as possible to the Tugela River from source to mouth.

You could use that to plan a section of your trip.

I have that magazine at home but I am not at home......

The War Trail Publicity Association has a wealth of information on the area around Rhodes and south of Lesotho. Have a look on Google it should give you lots of info. The other fantastic resource for around there is the Mountain Passes of South Africa website. They have videos of just about every pass in that area.
