Your Ultimate Vehicle Restoration/Build

#1

Post by Mike Nel »

If you had time, money and the know how. What would your ultimate vehicle build be? Would you go as original as possible or would you go custom?

Here is mine. FJ40. It's been a dream of mine for ages.

Here's a link of what can be done and what I have in mind.

To make a Touran solid front and rear axles on 33’s. It is a brilliant body shape for camping but just needs some off-road ability to be the perfect all rounder

A guy down the street had one of those, in excellent condition, used as a daily drive.

He now has a LC 76 station wagon also very old, skinny tyres n all.

Not sure where the FJ is.

As for me, I have an eye on a bog standard red Paj Gen 1 Shorty an old couple down the road owns. Need to go ask them if they will part with it.

Sheesh, I wish I had the money for a few more rebuilds and restomods!

the power wagon is cool, but I'd love a Willy's MB ... and a Series 1 defender.... an original FJ would be great too.... Unimog 406.... There was a 40s Ford 6x6 up for sale that I saw the other day.... Original Bronco. Later Bronco. International Harvester Scout... so many 😱

Sounds like we need to send a bucket around for some donations

I very much like to rebuild a '67 Fastback as well. But that is some serious moolah right there
