Sierra? It is a Jimny All-Grip. The GLX is the new 1500 Jimny. Other countries call it a Sierra.

I dont like Renault and have never owned one, so wont comment on the Duster.
I had a previous model Jimny. It was fun packing for a holiday - you also have the same fun playing tetris.

I have 2 kids which I took to school with the Jimny. The big one sat in front, one side of the back seat had to be folded down to fit the bag. The small one was in a car seat behind the driver and his much smaller bag was lying next to the other ones big bag. But we went away for weekends in it, I made my own roofrack thingy and fitted ammo cases. That and some interesting packing and we had a bucket of fun in it. I regret selling it but we really did need more space. One day I will buy one again.

I am only adding this as someone mentioned the GV.
The GV can go places. Its not a Land Cruiser but a 40mm lift, one size up on tires and she wont dissapoint. Just make sure there is protection, some expensive pieces of drivetrain are exposed. I have a 3.2l V6 GV, she goes like hell, drinks like a fish and I wont sell her. If you get one, look for a 2.4 auto summit model. Model year 2012 or newer. Some 2.4l models between 2008 and 2011 have engine blocks that crack but Suzuki still fixes it and the last time I checked it was no charge...

I have also been considering an older Jeep TJ diesel. Thoughts? I know there is a stigma attached but I also think it is an alternative as it definitely goes off road and would be fine for a once off school run every two months or a quick run to work 4 times a month?
