RIP Sabine

It's been a hell of a few weeks with Friends dying.
I'm sure we all know that Sabine Schmitz of Top Gear fame passed of Cancer yesterday.
What most might not know is that she raced in SA for the BMW semi works team as well as Germany some years ago - more than I care to think about (1995) - I was fortunate enough to prepare her cars here and in Europe - she was a frequent visitor and very much loved it in SA !
Taken far too soon!
Anyway, there is a petition out to name a corner after her at the Green Hell (NordSchliefe / Nurburgring) - I will tell you, I did a few laps in the passenger seat with her driving - I'm not sure if that was more or less terrifying than her being in the passenger seat making you hold the throttle as you approach yet another blind corner at silly speed in a 911.... awesome times! She could certainly pedal!
A fitting epitaph I think - few have done more to make the place famous!
