Hi all - Unfortunately, this guy Taun Bewsher and his company Africranks, are still at it. He has scammed us in Knysna as a Sailing charter commercial operator. Booked a last minute same day cruise on our yacht, seemed legit and answered all correspondence and calls. He has since blocked us and not paid for the cruise and possibly planning his next adventure... Beware!!!!
I truly hope you have spread this info thru the sailing and boating community in Knysna

For what it's worth, perhaps share your info with the people on Bikehub as well. There's a few individuals there that's actively pursuing legal action. Any info/updates might be of value, even if it is just the latest number he used or email address

This is truly shocking to read that this guy is still operating as usual.

Often the trouble with okes like this is that once they offer a refund after a lot of hoo-haa from the customer, the customer withdraws any complaint or civil suit.

We need someone that can take a complaint the whole nine yards.

Yes, I have previously alerted BikeHub via a local bike shop owner. Plenty of unhappy MTB riders.

Exactly! It happens on that thread on the other forum re tyres.co.za. I saw just the other day one guy detailed all of his actions he was taking against the owner/company, reporting of fraud, actively trying to get the website taken down etc etc. The next day I see this guy has edited/deleted his entire post, just saying he received his refund. Very sad

I googled Taun Bewsher
You mostly get us, other sites warning about him, and a PI report by Mike Bolhuis!
Anyone should always just google before committing your money to an operator.
If he is still scamming, he must be using a different name

I don't use a Service Provider or Supplier I don't know, for larger purchases (say R1000+) unless they have:
* A Website.
* At least 12 Google reviews
* A Review Rating of over 4.5.
At the bare minimum....

He changes company names all the time, then registers on forums with fake names and "sells".

He's been on the 4x4FightClub several times under different names. He's a NASTY piece of work. Pure psychopath.
