Wessel is correct. Kuruman is a no go zone, Vryburg is also going to the dumps. In Kuruman, when you stop at a stop street, they will even try and open your doors and even try open your caravan door or try to grap something off it

I think that whole stretch of N14 is dicey ... from Vryberg to Upington ( though Kathu seems OK!).
Too many bad stories ... including some on this forum ?

There is an alternative road through Vryburg past the new Mall. But by now the opportunists have probably lined up.....

Rubbish, i drive that route regularly for business and the only bad place is Kuruman. Yes some of the North West towns are run down but not unsafe.

Then again, the N14 will be dicey in a LR.

I went to Kathu once, used it as a stop over.
Had a few beers, but every time I looked down there was another shooter in front of me.
Then there are occasional Stroh Rum shots.
Then a high cholesterol meal.
