Nissan Patrol 4.8 GRX Auto, but with a fuel consumption of around 8L to 10L per 100Km...

The stuff of dreams...
had a look at one of those the other day.

They are incredible value for money if you don't worry about the fuel bill.

then I decided I needed a Wagoneer again.

Always had a dream about an American 4x4 with a nice v8. Then the Yank Ranger crossed my road. I built my dream. With the Yank Ranger passed on to my eldest son I start dreaming again.

This time a shorty 70 Series Land Cruiser with a Chevy LS V8. So yes I catch myself spending more and more time around planing this little bugger.
Shorty Cruisers go nasty prices. So may be I will just create my own by using a donor 70 Series Cruiser and add the OEM shorty body panels.

My English teacher had a saying , Every dream might come true but you might have to work for it however Image Image
Geoff Norton has built a very nice J7 shortie with an OEM wide nose, dash, firewall and the D4D V8 diesel. It also, amongst a host of other things, has bypass reservoir shocks where one can independently adjust dampening and rebound which make most other shocks look like children's toys.

Thanks Alex! And ditto to you! Trust you are enjoying my Power Wagon.

As a side note, these are the shocks in coilover flavour I wrote about to oom Grips in the front of a 200 Cruiser (reservoir is hidden) -

From my side, while I have a few J4 Cruisers (47, 45's, a 43 and a 40), I need to get my paws on one or more of these Xingu Cruisers -

Cruiser Bandeirante J4 built in Brazil with the Xingu being an Army specific shortie in a Command Car style with a slot in the windshield for a big gun/small cannon. This specific one is just lifted a bit with bigger tyres.

Wellcome Rudi nice to have some real 4x4 and classic 4x4 experts on the forum.

I am looking all sorts of options for that shorty Cruiser. Maybe I will just create my own. I single cab 70 series cab modified with OEM J70 body panels.
You will never find me without Stroh or a 4x4 :D

My choice would be a Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.
Ranger Mildtrak
Scorpio Curry Cruiser
A tos-lookin', lunchbox, lipstick and powder puff carryin' home-built trailer

Thank you for the kind words oom Grips. An expert I am not but an enthusiastic dreamer I am.

The shorty J7 can be bought new still and Geoff Norton built a nice one with a D4D V8. You should do this to your 76 -
