All true, Manny and Grips.
Anybody out there that says he wants to fit a forced induction system without understanding what effect he is causing should rather not offer the services or consider the option. These days there are VERY few stock engines that will tolerate boost. As Manny said: new gen engines are built to precise tolerances and once you're getting 200kW+ out of a naturally aspirated 4.0-odd you really need YEARS of R&D to take that any further.
The manufacturers take Formula 1 tech advances and apply them to their new engines: this isn't an overnight job. Variable length intakes, variable valve timing, sequential multi-stage injection, per-plug coil management, closed loop fuel measurement, precisely engineered components often with composite materials and special alloys .......and now some plonker wants to drop a supercharger onto THAT?

Lots of places and manufacturers advertise
Plug and play
Or
Straight fit
It is never just like that
Still take alot of effort to get something fine tuned
And working correct
Problem is aswell people fiddle
Boost is addictive
So for now it is 0.4 bar
Tomorrow it is 0.6
And day after it is kapoet
