Like any Auto they do need a long run-up. Otherwise they go very well.

On our obstacle last week, only 1 out of the FJ club group made it up. Then none of them knew how to reverse so they hit markers on the way back down.

But then later an FJ in another group made it look easy. He scored very well overall.

Grips, yes, my son Gino-FJ was the first one to make it after several tries. Tyres down very low and at the end of the day all 5 made it. Would like to do that trip with the Fortuner.

Nico the dune in your pic is Speelduin. Langduin is near the end of the trail.

Little Patrol first time Langduin.
