Love good design and this is a great piece of kit.

You cannot believe the pressure one gets from an 8L/min submersible pump and it does what it says on the tin - Shower in 3 litres of water.

The only downside is the water temperature drops from 50° - 25°in about 3 mins so ideally, it has to be connected to a gas geyser so the shower becomes a 2 man operation with the second party switching on the geyser for a few seconds every 30 seconds.

Would be wonderful if the Kwikot's/Dewhot's of the world would create a constant temperature geyser that could be run from a submersible pump - And who needs water hotter than 45°

Would also have been wonderful for the now defunct (Thanks Manny) river trip :(

You quickly learn to shower in 5 liters or less when you are in remote areas and water supply is perfectly worked out to last.

We did it a few times on our trips into the Namibian dunes.

I like those submersible pumps. They don't take up much packing space either.

Water temps? Well. Jerry cans on the roof rack on a hot summers day in the dunes makes for a lovely shower later in the evening

A kettle of boiled water into the shower's supply will break all but the most extreme cold waters, and a 12v pump to get it to the shower head is all you need. never understood why people need complicated shower setups.

If you want to do it Larnie and a gas heated water supply is probably next best.
