We cannot apply for radio licenses etc. It is only a FB page where like-minded people can join and link up to do trips etc.

It was never created to be a formal club as it becomes another job.

I never felt welcome at my 1st 4x4 trip, this after my wife and I introduced ourselves to others, only two couples spoke to us.
Never really bothered to go on any 4x4 off road trail again with a "club", but rather drag a family member and his 4x4 along so we don't go on a trail alone.
Sometimes clubs have too much politics and cliques. I know, I belonged to a car club for many years and served in various roles.

Now we just enjoy what we love doing, exploring the country and camping whenever we can. Meeting people at campsites from all over the country makes for a far better and rewarding trip.

If you want, I can add you to a whatsapp group where only outings are posted.
Or, I can add you to a group where a whole lot of #### is talked.

Consider joining the 4x4 Action Group.
We have a very nice, albeit small, group in the Western Cape.
I was at the4x4AG day hosted by the FAC 2 weeks ago - it was great fun.

And thank you everyone else also for the invites. I sold the Jeep (something I will probably regret ) and the Isuzu have a newly built motor which I am still driving in. Once this has been sorted, I would like to join some guys on a trail as I never had the Isuzu on a trail yet, so I would love to see what its capabilities are. It's a bit on the low side so no climbing Kilimanjaro
