South Africa’s 10 best-selling bakkies of May 2020:

1. Toyota Hilux – 796
2. Isuzu D-Max – 611
3. Ford Ranger – 538
4. Nissan NP200 – 163
5. Nissan NP300/Hardbody – 141
6. Mahindra Pik Up – 111
7. Toyota Land Cruiser Pick-up – 86
8. Volkswagen Amarok – 67
9. GWM Steed – 48
10. Mahindra Bolero – 22

So my prediction seems to have happened earlier than I thought, I only predicted Isuzu taking 2nd place from Ford when the new Dmax is launched next year...

Isuzu is currently getting rid of old stock to make place for the new D-Max.

It does seem that the Navara was a massive sale flop, or much the same as cognac - its an acquired taste.

Great figures.

The D-Max can outsell the Ranger if Isuzu SA get the pricing & stock levels right.

Hilux isabout to fightback with the facelifted model with 150kW in the 2.8.

Can't believe Nissan hasn't just given up...

Edited to be on topic and to be nice . Let’s hope Isuzu D-Max keeps the pace, Isuzu was a leader many years ago although we had horrible experiences with Isuzu but somewhere in the late 90’s their sales dropped to negligible vs others
