... how or where on the forum do I change my password ?

Click on the drop down box / menu with your username at the topright corner of the page. Click on "User Control Panel".
Click on the "Profile" tab and then "Edit Account Settings". Enter new password, confirm new password. Enter your old password and then "Submit"

I thought someone may have hacked your account. For a few moments there I could understand your posts.
