I am now a licensed ORRAtor until
March 2021.
I have a Kenwood VHF Fixed and Hand-Held
and a ‘to be fitted’ Victory 29.5 radio.
Rina issued me with two cards that are
identical except for the User Number
(doubt a cop would know if I only had 1)

I used my LROC membership to get the licences
which only cost me R95 through to Mar21
even though my licence/s have been lapsed
for 18months !
I did licensing through the LROC as it was complicated to do it through 44AG , in my particular case, :) with getting the serial nos and getting my 29.5 on the books etc etc
... will do through 44AG next year.

Bit weird. You get a membership letter, fill in an ORRA app form with ORRA. Send both back to ORRA and they invoice you and you pay and they ship you your license. Which part if the LORC is easier?

Frosty, Bushwacker is special - nothing is easy for him as he knows no admin.

Richiard ... it was, as I said ... “ in my particular case “ ... and predicament easier to just
re-apply via my previous LROC membership as some of my details were already with ORRA
and yet I was also phasing in my 29.5 radio licence as well.
I simply said to Rina on the phone easier , ‘in my particular case’ to apply via LROC or via 44AG ?
and she said via LROC , so that’s what I did ...
... in no way a criticism or shortcoming of 44AG process !!!!
... and many thanks for the service you make available to me/us .

Next year will do it through 44AG !
