Whilst it obviously useful to read through
the ORRA website etc ...

it may also be worth looking through this
well compiled info even though it often
relates to 29 MHz ... still has a lot that is
also relevant for VHF use ...

Had an interesting conversation with a radio boffin yesterday. You get remote antennas that mount on the front windscreen. No cabling involved communicates wireless with radio.
You will never find me without Stroh or a 4x4 :D
