LED trailer lights not recognised by vehicle

Afternoon
I need assistance, when connecting a trailer with LED lights the Amarok recognises the trailer lights as a fault.
All safety when hooking up a trailer is then disabled and errors show on the dash as faulty globes.

I know this is a resistance issue but how and with what resistor do you fix this.
I bought two different gadgets that were suppose to fix this but the flickers (indicators) keep being an issue.

Any one experiencing this or know what to do to fix this permanently? Any help will be appreciated.

(To all Kurt fans: Yes a Amarok is better than a Mydsebussie you just can't afford one)

Complain to VW, you have bought an expensive bakkie and it has a fault, make them sort it...

It still baffles my mind that in this day and age of LED everything, even the lights on your bakkie, manufacturers haven't had the foresight that trailers may have LED lights fitted, just plain crazy

Thats BS, the towbar should be compatible with any light...

I'm sure any electrical supply outlet will be able to supply you the correct resistors, that are cheap as chips

From what I could find on the Toureg club is that you need 5 15ohm 10 watt resistors

My mate Frans supplied a little box to be wired into his van that he got (hasn't got) to sort this problem out. He told me he's given the details to the guys that built your van to add as standard to future builds. I can get details from him tomorrow to add here.

Neither did Noha with the Ark towing his lifeboat.
LED lights were invented about 3 eons after your Defender. But that is not to say there's anything wrong with your Defender.
