Uniglide = Snake oil.
I'd love to know why you say this Chris?

I cannot comment on the Uniglide products, I have had no experience with them, but having our own range or automotive fuel and oil additives I'm really interested as to why someone would say something like this? Would you say the same if I posted the NF range of products on this platform?

If I recall Uniglide products have been around for many years, if it really was a "snake oil" would it still be available today?

Looking forward to your feedback
These products are made of very smooth particles that indeed improve wear and tear between metals, as indicated by the Australian ball bearing test. But these particles also clog up the oil filter because they are larger than oil molecules. Pressure testes before and after the oil filter indicates a drop in pressure after the oil filter caused by the clogging. This is from a test that I read a few years ago.
Now, if these 'Prolong' type off additives are so good, why don't the oil companies just add it to their oil by themselves and Bob's you uncle?
But, read up more about this and make up your own mind.

No. These additives either work or they don't. If the do work, halleluiah. If they don't, then the truth should be told.

Well Cris, and for anybody else that cares to listen. There are no solids in Uniglide. Thus no teflon beads.
The big benefit is that our formulae adsorbs to any metal. If you want to remove it, you need to take it off, mechanically. Sanding/machining.
Our "PH"(TBN) is 7. Thus it is totally neutral. Contrary to the other additives that add chlorine and are acidic. Extremely so.
It is also a rust inhibitor. Used in hydraulic systems extensively for 2 reasons. 1. To stop rust. 2. For the lubrication properties to facilitate in reducing the friction and bringing down the operating temps.

So give me the date and place and I will be there with a acid tester and a Timken tester. You are more than welcome to bring whatever you pick, as a head to head competition to Uniglide.

So you are unsure whether it works or not, but your first contribution to this thread is to call it snake oil?

Put your money where your mouth is, take up Henris' challenge or run the risk of being a labelled a rebel without a cause.

Peace.

Well, at least the unproven/unfounded criticism is giving HenriS a great opportunity to promote his product & he certainly isn't let it slip through his fingers...

Be diplomatic.

Put some Uniglide on your finger before doing so - at least you'll kill two birds with one stone.
