Rudi, perhaps a separate Thread, when you have time, on the 3 options on the LC70 series (well 4 actually).
Something like this...

If you own a LC700 series, the rear track is narrower than the front track.
You have 4 options:
1. Leave it as is.
2. Fit spacers
3. Fit the Tru Track extender (as in this Thread)
4. Fit the tru Track wider rear axle.
Discuss pro's & cons of each option.

I would love a LC76 with option 4 & then the Coil suspension conversion.
That must be awesome!!!

Will do Manny. Just won't mention pricing on option 5, being the full width axle replacement, 300m shafts and coils/airbags with bypass shocks. It is rough. Very rough. But very nice at the same time.

For all interested in this thread, we are scheduled to be installing a full Jmacx rear coil conversion kit with forged arms and King shocks, amongst others, on a 76 early in September. I will document the install for club members' reading pleasure.

To give context to my previous post, this is what the Jmacx kit looks like installed -

Image

This is the kit, but with much, much poorer quality coils and shocks which, in my view, totally destroy the value-add of the kit -

I really like this option.
But, at R786 000 - it should come as standard on the 76...

I'd love to drive a standard one over a route then immediately jump into one with this full kit & do the route...

Holy smoke. That’s a lot to pay for something that’s wheels aren’t inline with one another.

Most 4x4`s with a Dana 60 at the back and a Dana 44 up front have the same problem. I needed to fit spacers to my Dana 60 to line with the Dana 44.
Only other difference is you get home with out broken side shafts. Lost the third Dana 44 shaft on the Ranger 3 weeks ago.

It's because your front pumpkin/centre section is on the wrong side :)
