I've been doing some light fabrication projects during the lock down. This is an ongoing new line for me due to the uncertainty with my current employer. I'm specialising in smaller one off jobs that the big guys don't want to do.
I've done a frame for a stowage replacing the rear seat on a Land Cruiser, a odd size roof rack for a Toyota HiLux and some other brackets and fittings for an offroad trailer. Other than the vehicle side I'm also doing security gates and steel work for around the home.

Paul#25 introduced me to the 4x4 group.

In the mid to late 90's I did plenty 4x4 driving.

Then it was Paul#25 racing that kept me busy on weekends. Pit crew and photographer after the build of the Lotus 7.

My landy only goes where there's no traction control or diff-locks needed.

Am looking to fit a diff-loc or 2 in the future...finances permitted.

Not vehicle related, but camping related, but have to give a big shoutout to Carma-quip (Self inflating mattress ) ! Bought my first one about 3years ago. Then 3 more inbetween. One felt ‘softer’ after some time and I sent it back to Marius at Carma-Quip. No questions asked, said I have to send it back, he had a look, agreed, and replaced the ‘inner’ without question or cost involved. Prime service!

I’ll show you at platbank, it physically cannot leak!, it’s a special kind of eggshell matress. Nie n afblaas matrass nie! No air needed. Basically it uses air to expand the sponge! Seems you are new to camping Manny.

I know what is going to come my way now but.........

I'm looking for a decent Jeep workshop/mechanic in the Gauteng area. American SUV need not be mentioned.

I don't know if this guy is still around. He was able to sort out stuff on the XJ that nobody else could.

Thanks, but if I had to drive to Selby I'd have used enough petrol to buy 2 extra 6m lengths AND get hijacked.
