All the rock sliders for the Disco 1 and 2 attach in a similar way to these shown above. They are a 5mm plate "U" channel that covers the lower sill area between the wheel arches. There aren't any brackets attaching to the chassis on any of the designs. I have saved the plan's I've downloaded and can upload them if someone is interested.

Flat bar bends if it is not thick enough and then they are heavy? Square tubing seems the way to o.

Yes, Square tubing has a higher bending moment than round tube of equivalent dimensions
Flex is overrated

I don't have any saved photos, but there were some from a thread where a guy used the plans to build a set. When I have a gap I'll try to find the link.

I am definitely a function over form type so nothing pretty :lol:
