B looks like something from the 80’s.

I am going to guess that it is the Toyota Cresida, but this being a 4x4 Forum I would have to say it’s Oppies3800’s Hilux

The lack of cover does not bother me as much as the general disregard for any form of order.........

Engine covers are just more bits to remove when working on the motor and that can get damaged in the process, be the source of rattles and vibrations and, and, and.........................

Some order is required to make an engine bay neat and easy to work in .................... the jumble of tubes, pipes, wires and other components in the Amarok bay is normally just hidden under the cover.

One of the most practical engine covers I have come across lately is the one in the WK2 Grand Cherokee TDV6. Not a single bolt or screw keeping it in place - just rubber push in mounts, so the whole thing just pulls off and is pushed back into place when you are done

Strange that you’d battle to find a car today that doesn’t have one.

That’s neat.

Even Option A has one.

Manufacturers hide their ergonomic balls-ups under the covers ................... it's easier to add a cover than the effort to clean up the mess
