Got mine up on the ramps for the first time in 18 months. Got to test the crawler gears as well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ziCof0PmhMQ

Nice..... I see you have decided to stick to leaf springs
Did you manage to resolve the "harshness" in the front end yet?

Budget and time still has me on the leafs. I just wanted to get it running for now. Standing for 18 months, things start breaking on there own. Electric windows not working so nicely, cetral locking not working on one of the doors and tail gate. Yesterday the glo plug timer was not working, and starting was a struggle. This morning things started coming right.
Need to get a fual tank installed now, so it kinda drives like a normal car without having to fill a 5L can under the bonnet for now. Then we cut the sump for some clearance for the diff, and hopefully drop the whole thing by about 50mm or so. Only then can I look at how the radais arms and coils are going to work out.

After the test I posted pics of above here, I did a cross axle test. Same ramps set up across front and rear wheel. The result boggles my mind. I kinda expected half the distance/height per ramp compared to that 500mm high one wheel test. So I was expecting at least half way up the each ramp on the front and rear wheels, but instead, I only got half of my expected result.
I am sure when 4x4, it will get up a bit higher. But on this test, I let it idle up till the LSD started slipping, and just stood there spinning. The front sway bar is still connected, but the front and rear springs are already both inverted.
Like I said, it boggles my mind I can get one wheel up to 500, and would probably have gone higher as it got there very easily, but cross axle looks like a platkar.David vd Merwe

That sounds about right to me....
Cross axle test is always a better test of a vehicles flexability than the standard ramp test.
My SJ is not much different in it's difference between one wheel lift and a cross axle.
