I do have a TPMS in the 200 as well as the BushLapa

I always check pressure before every camp. Today I decided to check of there is a difference between the two gauges in my car

Big difference between the two. So which one do I trust

The TPMS read 1.9 bar on one wheel and the pressure gauge measured 2.2

Now. My next exercise would be to compare TPMS, my gauge and the gauge at the fuel pumps

I've got 3 digital tyre pressure gaudes and tested them against a master calibrated gauge at work. The one that came with the puncture repair kit from Outdoor Warehouse was almost spot on. The dial gauge on the IndeFlate is also as close as dammit to spot on when I cross checked it against the digital gauge I checked at work. In general I've found the tyre inflator gauges at filing stations to be the least accurate. I don't have a TPMG system but would be cautious as to the accuracy of the cheaper stuff.
For me the most important thing is to always use one gauge or system to set tyre pressures. Then you will have a consistent reading and work out what pressure works for the different conditions for your vehicle set up.

My TPMS is within 0.1bar of my cheapo analogue guage, and my really insanely cheapo pencil gauge. The digital gauges that garages have nowadays are similarly accurate, it's the old school gauges that are still on the air chuck that are generally insanely inaccurate. On a recent trip I stopped at a garage in Moorreesburg I topped up 1 wheel until their guage read 2.5, but my gauge and TPMS both said 2.9.

A proper / descent digital gauge should always be your most accurate tool of measurement .
Alot of the anologue gauges are not as accurate.
Petrol station gauges are the worst .
Tpms should be used as a indication but not as very accurate unless you have checked them properly

I recently fitted new tires

Got to camp and immediately took out the pressure guage (ARB). It read 2.8 bar

I deflated to 2.2 bar according to the gauge.

Went to petrol station and their guage told me 2.4 bar

Curious as to why you'd deflate (presumably) hot tyres? Pressures are always stated cold, if I go camping I run 2.4 cold and its not unusual to see that climb to around 2.8 when hot.

The ride was extremely hard. I had to deflate otherwise my kidyes would be close to my nipples
