I am very perturbed. The voices spoke to me this morning. She said I must stop with all my crap. Sand anchors and snatch blocks. I must stop all that. Totally. I should concentrate on my survival knife. I must make it perfect. Practical. That is what what the voice said.

OK. I am back with photos. This is a Chinese copy of a M9 rifle bayonet. Not badly made but a very bad design. Very very bad.

The M16 with bayonet. Just so that we are all on the same page.

So, some dumb American person went and made the tang very short and made a pipe extension to which the handle is screwed onto. It is a weak point and if the knife is going to break, it will break just below the blade. The shiny round thing I made to replace the clip that clipped the bayonet to the rifle. The crappy Chinese clip broke.

Mike. The short tang is the problem. It screws in where the green arrows are. It is the weak point of the bayonet. Some makers have made a proper full length tang. And it is very thin/narrow.

Very nice knife Grips. But where do you store your fish hooks and sinkers and gut and matches and boelie beef? There must be a pouch of some sort.

There is a hollow section in the hand of the Glock knife but not big enough for much. Best place for a fishing hook is inside a plastic pill container with the line wound up around the outside of the container. Gorritttt?????

Gorrittt. Thanks Paul. The hollow handle might be bolted to the blade with a very short tang. That is a weak point. If you ever have to stick your survival knive into a Whoolly Mammoth you don't want the blade to break. I assure you.

But my knife also have this weak handle setup.

If you guys are looking for the ultimate hollow handle survival knife, have a look at the Cold Steel Bushman. If you want the ultimate blade overall in all situations, have a look at the Cold Steel Khukri

What's with the little bits of wood? I thought that was what the knife was for.
