Vleesbaai SAnd driving
So today we (my son Jared and I) are, going to vleesbaai dunes.
Neither of us has done any sand driving.
We are going in his ranger 3.2 auto.
No mods standard at tyres.
How much should we deflate.
I hope to add some pictures here later.
Quite excited for first dune /sand driving.

Kurt now my compressor is in the Hilux in Johannesburg.
I can kick myself.
I stood with my recovery gear ammo case in my hand and thought "No this is a business trip won't need recovery equipment." Now the opportunity came and I will have to beg and borrow someone else's equipment.
Stupid stupid.
The local that is going with us has a seriously modded jeep with tyres the size of my house. When I asked him about deflation he looked at me strangely.
Oh well this is a recipe for a YouTube video.

Start at 0.8 bar and then go down to 0.6 in need, 0.6 is very low for us “stads japies” but the experts here (XJJunkie and Grips et al. ) know what they are talking about so take their advice over mine

Flex is overrated

Vleesbaai is a scenic route, 0.8 will be fine.
There is a large compressor for afterwards.
The last long dune can be done in 4x2 or reverse, we want videos

Wonderful morning so impressed with the Ranger. No issues at all had to do some obstacles 2 and 3 times but Langduin was just straight up no issues.

We went down to just below a bar the borrowed gauge was not very clear.
What a fun day.
I enjoyed more than the rock climbing we do with our 4x4s in Joburg.
For my son, the 4x4 bug bit thoroughly.
Nissan Mosselbay had some dealer day there and many of their vehicles got stuck both path finders and Navarras. Then there was a kitted 3l Fortuner that really suffered.
We slipped this one into a business trip and it was great fun.
