The Age old Tire Debate

After my (short) debacle on Baboons, and with at least 3 tires to replace I've realized very quickly that the Ford is certainly not equipped for Baboons. And although I have done quite a few trips with her where she did things I didn't really believe she could I've come to realize that I could improve my tire situation, and its now opportune to do as I'm forced to replace 3 of 5. I've done some research and haven't drawn any specific conclusions as yet, beside the fact that 285/75r17 would probably be the sweet spot for touring. Id appreciate a little input. I've attached a spreadsheet I worked on, but maybe I'm missing practical input...so please pick it apart at will!
(All tires below are available and with my 2 inch lift seem to be able to fit!)

Rem ,even with a 2" lift. The size you indicate may not fit nicely in the front and may rub on the inside well. Go fit 1 and see how it clears first.

Rem, I'm not sure what your OEM size is.
Fearless came with 265/65 17's.
By 44000km I'd split 3 side walls.
I realised that the Duellers were crap for severe 4x4ing and decided that my next set would have:
A 70 profile
A 3 ply sidewall.
Have a more aggressive tread pattern
There were only 3 or 4 choices and I decided on Coopers St Maxx.
They were great off road, but less great on tar.
BTW, changing from Bridgestone Duellers 65's to Cooper 70's with a more aggressive tread pattern
gave me an initially 18mm lift, but that decreased to 12mm as the tyre's wore down...

A 285/75 is going to catch in the front when turning under articulation. You would be better with a 285/70 as this still gives a little more sidewall meat than the original. Go with an LT rated tyre.

I am leaning toward the 285/70 at the moment. For anyone interested this is a super useful site, giving imperial and metric comparisons as well as effect of speed!
