I converted my ex SJ410 (Now Wooky's) from the stock SJ410 to a Nissan A15 motor and gearbox.

My current Jimny I have converted the engine from the M13A to the M15A.

And did anything break because of more power?

I bought a Wrangler TJ with a Lexus 1UZ VVTi engin. The conversion was neatly done but there are some shortcomings. I have never driven the TJ I6 so I can't compare the two engines.

I'm on my third crown wheel and pinion in the rear, but I think that is more due to bad setup than extra torque.

En dan, hopelik kry ek my ander safari se straight 6 diesel conversion ook klaar die week.

Die ou engine is uit, en diesel start darem al. Moet nou indruk en mounts maak. En alles weer op koppel, en op n manier n intercooler op koppel. Die turbo conversion lyk my was suksesvol.

Met conversions, is dit altyd die klein goedjies wat die kostes op jaag.

Maar dit is daai klein goedjies wat dit n sukses of n flop maak...

The only conversions I have done was years ago:
  • Replaced a 1900 Opel Manta engine with a 2.0lt from a Rekord - Straight fit, apart from the exhaust downpipe that had to be crafted to miss the steering rod
  • Replaced an Isuzu 190D motor in a Fibreglass Jeep CJ replica that I fitted to the shortened Isuzu chassis with a 2.3 Chevair Engine and gearbox
I am still thinking of doing something with RooiTjiep, somewhere in the future - not sure what, but I am leaning towards a Chevy LS motor. The ship just has to stop sinking .......

If I had the bucks, I'd be sitting with a V10 Viper motor that was recently advertised on Facebook for R150k and thinking of ways to lengthen RooiTjiep's nose .......... 8-)
I refuse to be POLITICALLY CORRECT to impress others - Deal with it
FLEX is UNDERRATED
