Michael,
.I have a 50mm Des Sol suspension on the Jimny.
Its Good, its Cheap and its local... best of all, you dont pay over inflated prices on the "big name " Brands.

Oh and the Service at Des Sol is unmatched by the big name brand suppliers.

Nice part of Des Sol, the have most of the Underbody Protection as well.

Your coil over needs ro extend the same amount as the lift gained from the drop kit..
I hear you Grips. thing is, this drop kit comes with the spacer ontop of the coil to extend that shock with the same amount as the diff drop... (on a standard OEM Coil) my coils already extend 40 to 50mm more. so that lower control arm should have been low enough to give the correct hight.

thats why i am saying something is holding it back.
and if i add longer shocks/ coils the compression on that coil will just be more then what it is now.

One More Question Please guys

Is it possible to turn that point on that shock 90degrees?
I am thinking of adding a bracket in there to see if the vehicle lifts higher.
its basicly a shock extension bracket.. making the shock longer by 50mm. just to see what happens before i buy longer stronder shocks
.

That is what I suggested before. You don't even need to drive the car, just bash a spacer in there and see if it lifts the vehicle.

Sorry, only just came back to this.

Your drop frame only moves the inner lower control arm point down.

As David says, if your coil over remains the same length, the ride height remains the same - in fact, it should drop slightly as lowering the inner joint lowers the suspension connection point slightly - say you've LOST 10mm

the 2" lift spacer will lift it by 50mm

so thats only a 40mm total lift which is why you are 60mm short.

As David says, you need to either extend the length of the shock by 60mm or put another 60mm spacer under the spring

extending the length of the shock will increase ride height, increase droop but decrease bump. putting in a spring spacer will increase ride height, decrease droop and increase bump.

given you've already got a 50mm spacer under the spring I'd say you need to extend the shock (or space down the upper shock attachment point on the chassis side by 60mm...

I will chip in. And I will probably say what have been said. Anycase.

On the ranger, a 25mm spacer gives 50mm lift. 30 gives 60mm this is because the shocks are somewhere in the middle of the control arm.

With a 25mm spacer your cv joints are still almost straight. When you go 30, you will need to watch your boot rubbers. When you dropped the front by what? 100mm? You had to add another 50mm somewhere on the shock to get your spacer lift back if you started your lift with a spacer like what Manny did to toothless.
