Slip joint windup

Check your slip joint still has slide on it. This is inside the dust cover.
So if you have proper torque and you make the car works hard, this is the result.Image

Wooky has experienced the same on his SJ. 1500 with crawler gears is a bit much torque for the stock prop shaft

Yip, was going to say with the right gearing, you can create some serious torque. I did a spreadsheet when I did the doubler on the Sani, and the figures were surprising, although I did not take into account drivetrain losses. 1st low with a mere 200N.m on the flywheel gives you in excess of 3500N.m on the propshafts without losses. Lets say 30% gets lost, you still at over 2000.
