I am running Rod Ends on the Yank Ranger for almost 30k km. Most of that off road and on very bad corrugated roads.
Also use them on my traction bars. Still as good as new.

I do agree with Appoc you need to buy big high quality ones

What is the max angle that the spherical rod ends can handle?
I am not to worried about the tie-rod as that would be mainly rotational changes with the steering movement but the drag-link could be a different story. My SJ is not extreme but does flex quite nicely for an old lady......

For the through bolts what grade should be used?

It will handle those angles easy with a bush like the photos i shared yezterday
