Looking at the prices on their website I would venture to guess that most items are made in China and that the site in Victoria is mostly for R&D and distribution. Especially if you compare them to ones made locally here.

Haven't seen them in local stores or at the 4x4 shows yet.

Just for those that are interested in feedback/reviews, is the local Amazon listing

Maybe one should give it a try. The Chinese are good at electronics so I do expect it to be reliable.

Well my experience with some of the more expensive examples are not that good. On a camping trip this weekend my CTEK DC to DC keep on showing a fault. It does not switch off vehicle power as it is suppose to do when the ignition is turned off. Thus draining the vehicle battery.

Sending a CTEK in for repairs is a waist of time. Was there done that with a CTEK 12V battery charger.
Seems that it is time to replace the CTEK. The ATEM looks like a good option.
You will never find me without Stroh or a 4x4 :D

The Atem is half the price of the equivalent C-Tek or NL 25A DC to DC with MPPT, so if it lasts half as long, it's OK.
I like the National Luna NLDC25 DC to DC but it's R8k.

I have invited Tim of 4WD Warehouse to come comment.
They are distributors of Atem Products in SA. Via their Online Shop....

The reviews on Redmans link are not too encouraging. All very well for the thing to work for a while but the question one should ask is where will it let you down.

... problem with combo's ( eg DC-DC & MPPT ...)
is if the one circuit function fails the other may also be compromised if their circuits share certain parts ... IMO
I gen dont like Combo's.

I like Victron:
one unit
for one function ...
... Famous Fiver VoorLoper ...
... Veni Vidi Vici ...

 OK, all evidence points to the Atem being a device to avoid.
