A useful link for electrical actuators
Seeing as I'm currently sitting with the same problem, Google provided me with a link that some might find useful.

So if you have an electrical Toyota locker - like in the D4D's or Land Cruiser, and it starts acting up, it can be fixed!

From the many views and lack of comments I can only assume that I'm the only "tosser" (as Manny so eloquently put it
) that has ever had this problem?

I'm sure there have been many others that have had this problem, only to have a 3rd party repair the fault. My d4d never did but I've seen it happen to a mate. Also small plastic breathing tubes don't help any. Thank you for the link

Mine actually packed up twice on the Fortuner. Think it's also all the playing in mud and water and was not sealed properly.

I had mine repaired. R1800. But they messed up and had to redo it again, free of charge. Water got in again, don't know how.

In the meantime last weekend in Lesotho my one back wheel bearing started packing up and the other side seal leaking, resulting in oil on the brake shoes and the ABS sensors packing up. So replace bearings, all oil seals, ABS sensors and brake shoes, R9 600 later I'm so happy I could Sh........
